WHAT IS IT?

The Madhouse Summer Minicon is a yearly event over a long
weekend which brings together Madhouse players and GMs old and new, plus their
friends and family, for the gamesfest to end all gamefests.

Officially starting on Friday evening the Minicon allows a gathering of keen
gamers to play board games, card games, roleplaying games and pretty
much any other sort of game throughout the day and into the very
small hours of the morning.

On top of this, the Minicon features many organised events
including the Friday Night Tex Mex / Americano Buffet, The Saturday
Destiny II and Tunnels & Trolls Tabletop, Andy London's infamous Saturday
Night Play, the BIG Saturday Night Event, a Sunday Barbecue Party
and MORE MORE MORE...

No self-respecting Madhouse player who can conceivably make it
to the Minicon should miss the chance to have a GREAT weekend!
If you've been before, don't miss this year's con. If you've never
been before... DON'T MISS THIS YEARS CON.
You'll be kicking yourself forever.

The Theme
This year the Minicon is Prehistoric Themed, although it should
be remembered that the theme is just a bit of fun and
does not colour the events of the whole weekend.
We encourage all attendees to choose a caveman
or dinosaur name and to bring a single 'prop'
(Club, Bone, Firesticks, Pretty Bauble) for occasional use as
part of the fun, but participation in the theme
is not *absolutely* necessary so if pulp prehistory
isn't your thing, don't let it worry you, there's lots
more stuff going on!

Tunnels & Trolls Special Event
Throughout the weekend we will be running a free game metagame
based on the RPG Tunnels & Trolls which will allow players to accumulate points
toward a grand prize.

Saturday Night Prehistoric Banquet
The BIG Saturday night event, which is usually the highlight
of the weekend and the event in which everybody gets involved
is the Saturday Night PreHistoric Banquet.

The premise: Three caveman tribes live in a small
area of resource-sparse land. The Secret of Fire
is hidden somewhere nearby. They'd all like it.
Each tribe suspects their rivals of already possessing
the secret. A shared meal is arranged to 'talk and eat
for help of all' (in the grand words of one leader).
It can only lead to trouble!

Fancy Dress is highly-recommended. This is a story-based
themed event in which all those taking part (usually everybody attending)
will take the part of characters from a puply prehistoric setting.
No attempt at being historically accurate or of even getting
the time zones right is required. Think 'Journey to the
Center of the Earth' and do whatever you think is funny.
There is an additional cost which includes all the food, beer and wine.

Space tends to fill-up and sell out very quickly every year
so to avoid disapppointment... BOOK RIGHT AWAY!

All bookings come with a *no cancellation* condition.
If you book, you will be expected to pay for the full booking
(including optional meals) even though you did not attend.
Please make sure you understand this before booking as no sad story
or unusual circumstance will remove this condition later.
We have to book rooms in advance to secure them at this low price and
we have pay for the correct amounts of food, so no cancellation
option can be offered (as with previous years.)
