About Powers
Your powers are arguably the most defining and important thing in the game, being the keys that give your character superhuman abilities. The powers you choose when you set up a character are going to be the core powers they have to work with from then on, since gaining new powers in the game, while possible, is extremely slow and difficult.
Each Power has an associated “power type”. There are six different power types; Core, Physical, Trained, Mechanical, Psionic, Supernatural. Depending on what type of character you are setting up, you may have a “Key Power Type” and an “Antithesis Power Type”. When choosing a key power type you gain the power at half its PP cost. An Antithesis Power Type costs you double the PPs.
To set up your character simply choose a character type. Then spend your available PPs on Powers, Skills and Benefits. Remember, different character types have different amounts of PPs to spend, depending on their PP adjustment as shown on the Set Up Chart (earlier in this rulebook.)

The full list of powers, their effects and costs, can be found in the main rulebook (downloadable from this website.)
